Versaperm Vapour Permeability measurement

PRESS RELEASE

The Critical Automotive Factor
In low permeation fuel systems, tubing, seals and containers

        Automotibe fuel permeability

The permeability of automotive fuel systems is crucial to the safety of every vehicle but the rate at which the fuel permeates through the walls of a component, tube or system can easily four times more vapour through than expected after manufacturing processes such as forming, extruding, moulding, heating or pressure.

Versaperm's most recent vapour mass-spectrometer based vapour permeability measurement equipment can measure the result for your specific, manufactured components or systems – and not just for automotive fuels but also for air, water vapour, greases and all other non-regulated gasses.

The system gives accuracies in the parts per million to parts per billion ranges and can be used not just on strict fuel systems but also on any tanks, optical fibres, cables, tubing, air conditioning, electronics air brake hosing and other components.  It can also work on highly sensitive solar panels should you want to fit them to your vehicle!

Measurements can easily be correlated to international standards, but can typically be carried out both much faster and more accurately.  Results usually take just a few hours instead of the few weeks conventionally needed.
The equipment is computerised and extremely simple to operate requiring, at most, minimal training.

Versaperm also offers a fast turnaround laboratory based permeability measurement and consultancy services for companies that need to test too few samples to make the purchase of equipment viable.
